Social Committee raised approx £500 and handed over £450

The Pavilion is finished and doing very well.

Last year the teas had lost £24, this year they had made a profit of £11 thanks to hard work by the tea ladies.

Maurice Egerton saved the club in the region £200 when he decorated the pavilion without labour charges, he was presented with a stainless steel tea sevice in recognition of his services.

Bernard Manning was awarded a trophy for his all-round performances (608 runs and 56 wickets) together with some very fine cover fielding.

Mr Raffo told members that the Cheshire Conference Competition was considering the formation of a new competitive league.

Without the efforts of the social Committee the club would have been in the red, the biggest fund raiser of the year was the sponsored walk which raised £277-19-00 profit.

New sightscreens made by Geoff Sharp in his garden, in sections for easy transport cost £78
